Felis catus intact and degraded RNA
rRNA depletion kit
Efficient ribodepletion for cat intact and degraded RNA
The Felis catus intact and degraded RNA riboPOOL is optimized for efficient removal of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from both degraded and intact Felis catus (domestic cat) RNA samples, including those derived from FFPE tissue.
Designed to cover the entire rRNA sequence, it is particularly effective for use with degraded RNA (RIN < 7), but is also compatible with high-quality RNA.
The Felis catus intact and degraded RNA riboPOOL covers the following sequences:
| Sequence | Type | Covered |
|---|---|---|
| 28S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 18S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 5.8S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 5S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 16S rRNA | Mitochondrial | Yes |
| 12S rRNA | Mitochondrial | Yes |
Felis catus, the domestic cat, has the potential to transmit certain diseases to humans. Research is centered on understanding diseases such as toxoplasmosis, cat scratch disease (bartonellosis), and ringworm, aiming to understand how these infections spread and to develop preventive measures.
Benefits of using riboPOOLs for rRNA removal
- Enzyme-free, fast & easy workflow
- Compatible with most downstream applications
- Wide range of input RNA amounts
- Possibility of combining with other riboPOOLs
- Compatible with lab automated workflows
