Mouse-Rat intact/degraded RNA
rRNA depletion kit
Removes rRNA from mouse or rat intact and degraded RNA
The Mouse-Rat intact and degraded RNA riboPOOL is optimized for efficient removal of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from both degraded and inact mouse or rat RNA samples, including those derived from FFPE tissue.
Designed to cover the entire rRNA sequence, it is particularly effective for use with degraded RNA (RIN < 7), but is also compatible with high-quality RNA.
If you are working exclusively with intact RNA samples (RIN > 7), we recommend the Mouse-Rat riboPOOL for optimal performance.

The Mouse-Rat intact and degraded RNA riboPOOL covers the following sequences:
| Sequence | Type | Covered |
|---|---|---|
| 28S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 18S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 5.8S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 5S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
| 16S rRNA | Mitochondrial | No |
| 12S rRNA | Mitochondrial | No |
The sequencing of the mouse genome was completed in 2002 as part of the International Mouse Genome Sequencing Consortium (IMGS), while the sequencing of the rat genome was completed in 2004, with the initial sequencing of the Brown Norway strain.
