Escherichia coli riboPOOL for degraded RNA
The Escherichia coli degraded RNA riboPOOL is designed to efficiently remove ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from Escherichia coli FFPE or degraded RNA samples.
FFPE/degraded riboPOOLs cover the entire rRNA sequence and are designed for heavily degraded RNA samples, with RIN values below 6.
For high-quality and intact (RIN > 7) RNA samples, see Escherichia coli riboPOOL.

The Escherichia coli degraded RNA riboPOOL covers the following sequences:
Sequence | Type | Covered |
---|---|---|
23S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
16S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
5S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
Escherichia coli, is a gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that plays a dual role in the realm of microbiology. While some strains of E. coli are harmless and part of the normal gut microbiota of humans and animals, others can cause infections, ranging from mild gastroenteritis to severe illnesses.
Benefits of using riboPOOLs for rRNA removal
- Enzyme-free, fast & easy workflow
- Compatible with most downstream applications
- Wide range of input RNA amounts
- Possibility of combining with other riboPOOLs
- Compatible with lab automated workflows
