Felis catus riboPOOL for degraded RNA
The Felis catus degraded RNA riboPOOL is designed to efficiently remove ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from Felis catus (cat) FFPE or degraded RNA samples.
FFPE/degraded riboPOOLs cover the entire rRNA sequence and are designed for heavily degraded RNA samples, with RIN values below 6.
The Felis catus riboPOOL covers the following sequences:
Sequence | Type | Covered |
---|---|---|
28S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
18S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
5.8S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
5S rRNA | Cytosolic | Yes |
16S rRNA | Mitochondrial | Yes |
12S rRNA | Mitochondrial | Yes |
Felis catus, the domestic cat, has the potential to transmit certain diseases to humans. Research is centered on understanding diseases such as toxoplasmosis, cat scratch disease (bartonellosis), and ringworm, aiming to understand how these infections spread and to develop preventive measures.
Benefits of using riboPOOLs for rRNA removal
- Enzyme-free, fast & easy workflow
- Compatible with most downstream applications
- Wide range of input RNA amounts
- Possibility of combining with other riboPOOLs
- Compatible with lab automated workflows
