Human-Mouse-Rat degraded RNA riboPOOL
The Human-Mouse-Rat degraded RNA riboPOOL is designed to efficiently deplete ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from human, mouse and rat FFPE or degraded RNA samples.
FFPE/degraded riboPOOLs cover the entire rRNA sequence and are designed for heavily degraded RNA samples, with RIN values below 6.
For high-quality and intact (RIN > 7) RNA samples, see Human-Mouse-Rat riboPOOL.

RNA sequencing of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) or degraded RNA samples from humans, mice, and rats presents unique challenges due to RNA degradation. Optimizing workflows can enhance the reliability of RNA-seq data obtained from degraded RNA samples, facilitating valuable insights into gene expression, regulatory mechanisms, and disease pathways in these model organisms and humans.
Benefits of using riboPOOLs for rRNA removal
- Enzyme-free, fast & easy workflow
- Compatible with most downstream applications
- Wide range of input RNA amounts
- Possibility of combining with other riboPOOLs
- Compatible with lab automated workflows
