Human-Mouse-Rat intact and degraded RNA
rRNA depletion kit
Removes rRNA from human, mouse and rat intact and degraded RNA
The Human-Mouse-Rat intact/degraded RNA riboPOOL is optimized for efficient removal of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from both degraded and intact human, mouse or rat RNA samples, including those derived from FFPE tissue.
Designed to cover the entire rRNA sequence, it is particularly effective for use with degraded RNA (RIN < 7), but is also compatible with high-quality RNA.
If you are working exclusivley with intact RNA samples (RIN > 7), we recommend the Human-Mouse-Rat riboPOOL for optimal performance.

---|---|---|
28S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
18S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
5.8S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
5S rRNA | Cytoplasmic | Yes |
16S rRNA | Mitochondrial | No |
12S rRNA | Mitochondrial | No |
RNA sequencing of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) or degraded RNA samples from humans, mice, and rats presents unique challenges due to RNA degradation. Optimizing workflows can enhance the reliability of RNA-seq data obtained from degraded RNA samples, facilitating valuable insights into gene expression, regulatory mechanisms, and disease pathways in these model organisms and humans.
Benefits of using riboPOOLs for rRNA removal
- Enzyme-free, fast & easy workflow
- Compatible with most downstream applications
- Wide range of input RNA amounts
- Possibility of combining with other riboPOOLs
- Compatible with lab automated workflows
