Single-Species riboPOOLs are designed to efficiently target ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs) in a specific organism. Every design aspect of a Single-Species riboPOOL is tailored to its target species. The design workflow takes into account the type and characteristics of the species' rRNAs, ensuring the highest specificity between riboPOOL probes and the ribosomal RNA sequences. 

The Single-Species riboPOOLs portfolio includes ribodepletion solutions for more than 60 species, from well-established model organisms (e.g. Escherichia coliArabidopsis thaliana, Drosophila melanogaster, Caenorhabditis elegans) to lesser-known species, and includes options for RNA-Seq (both high quality and degraded RNA) or for ribosome profiling (Ribo-Seq).

Designing a Single-Species riboPOOL

Step 1. Bioinformatics Design          

Our algorithm scans the rRNA sequences to select the best probes, ensuring maximum and optimal rRNA coverage, optimal binding to rRNA sequences, and the avoidance of targeting similar genes.

 

Step 2. Laboratory Production 

riboPOOLs are manufactured in accordance with strict Quality Management standards. HPLC is used to refine riboPOOLs, to ensure the highest purity levels.

Step 3. Testing the riboPOOL

When ordering a riboPOOL, you receive a reliable ribodepletion solution for your target species. riboPOOLs demonstrate high rRNA depletion efficacy across species, achieving up to 99% depletion rates.

Reproducible and efficient rRNA removal

riboPOOLs demonstrate high rRNA depletion efficacy across species, achieving up to 99%. For strongly degraded RNA samples, we offer optimized riboPOOLs to achieve even & efficient rRNA removal of up to 95%. To meet the specific requirements of ribosome profiling (Ribo-Seq) we develop dedicated Ribo-Seq riboPOOLs for a growing number of species.
